Roof Leak Container In Attic

Anytime you see a container or can in the attic that looks like it could be there to catch water, while it is raining, because there is a roof leak.

You'd better start paying attention because that's probably exactly why it's up there.

This is a large container and if full would be hard to empty. It  would probably create more damage if spilled while emptying it, rather than letting it leak all over the place. Be careful if you ever have to empty one of these containers.

This is a good idea for a temporary situation. If you do have roof leaks, you should try to get them fixed as soon as possible. Your roof protects the entire home and with only one small leak you could end up over time with major repairs to the building.

Some people won't call a roofer because they think they are going to be ripped off or the roofer is going to suggest replacing the entire roof.

Make it clear to the roofer before he even comes over to the house that you do not want a new roof, you would just like to roof repaired.

You can always buy a large plastic tarp to cover your roof temporarily until it is repaired or replaced.

Your roof is one of the most important parts of the house, simply because it protects most of the home from the elements, from the weather. Take care of your roof and it will take care of your home.
