Brick Damage Under Window

Here's a good example of what moisture does to brick and mortar buildings.

The moisture from the ground and the concrete patio in front of the brick building is a good place for moisture to accumulate over time.

As you can see the brick and mortar does not look damaged above the area that I circled.

What happens in a situation like this, is to moisture from the ground actually works its way up into the brick and mortar. This moisture will sit in the wall, until it evaporates out.

One way for the moisture to evaporate out, would be through heat or in other words if the sun was shining on this wall for most of the day or this building was located in warmer climates.
