Plastic Tarp On Roof
Whenever you see a plastic tarp on a roof, there
is definitely a roof leak somewhere.
Now here's another clue while doing your home inspections. The bigger
the tarp the larger the area is that is damaged. This usually runs hand
in hand.
If you see a small tarp on the roof the damage will usually be minimal.
If you see a tarp on the roof like this, pay attention to the condition
of the existing roofing. This roof is a shake shingle roof and will need
to be replaced within a few years.
This roof of course can be repaired to get a few more years usage out of
it.
Most of the time these roofs can be repaired quite inexpensively, but
there are no guarantees how long these repairs will last.
Never walk on a plastic tarp while up on the roof, these tarps are
slippery.
