| Here's an old garage door that has a
gripable handrail running in front of it. The handrail would be blocking
the door from being used properly.
As you can see the door is no longer used and is now part of the
buildings decoration. You will run into things like this while doing
your home inspections every once in a while. Just make sure the inside
and outside of the garage door is sealed and fastened securely to the
building.
This would not create a structural problem as long as there is no wood
damage in this area.
