Range Hood Pipe Venting Into Attic
Here's something you will run into every once in
a while while doing a home inspection.
This is the kitchen range hood vent pipe and it is releasing exhaust
gases into the attic. This could become a problem if there was not
enough ventilation in the attic and you were venting a lot of moisture
from the stove into this area.
This pipe should have been extended all the way through the roof for
proper ventilation.
Simply make a note of this as a repair that will have to be made before
the home is sold.
Make a note of the white and gray electrical wires, gray electrical wire
is something that is normally not used in the attic, find out where this
electrical wire is going to and if it meets local building codes.
