Wall Separation From House
Here's a close up of a stucco wall that is
separating from a brick wall. This is a large gap and is a sign of
movement or structural damage underneath the house.
Be aware as a home inspector of situations like this, where somebody
will fill the joint with cement or caulking. This is not the proper way
to fix something like this.
Whenever you run into a large gap like this one, you could have some
major problems with the soil or building foundation.
